Nature before Government and Corporate Profit.
Message de Serafine, Australie - 29/09/2011
Find another way. Please do not destroy this precious land. Nothing is worth more than the sacred land that will be destroyed by this project.
Message de Beth, Canada - 29/09/2011
Some things are just wrong.
Message de Marcelo, Brésil - 29/09/2011
Belo Monte de M****,como se diz aqui.
Message de Rettig, Australie - 29/09/2011
Lets stop the ongoing destruction of our beautiful planet in the name of progress. Please consider the irreversible damage to wildlife, rainforest and surrounding areas if the proposed Belo Monte hydroelectric dam goes ahead. In my home state of Tasmania (Ausralia) there was a similar proposal of a beautiful river called the Franklin. Thousands of Australians rallied against this potentially devastating proposal and we were very thrilled because our efforts were successful. The Franklin river remains untouched and beautiful, the river and it's surrounds remains a safe haven for many threatened species, it remains pristine and flows through thousands of years old rain forest. Please try and find an alternative solution. Our species does not own the planet and we definately don't have the right to destroy it. Thankyou for your time in considering my viewpoint. Please reconsider this proposal. Kind regards Kim Rettig

STOP for the sake of our entire world!
We need the rainforest, we need our indigenous.

We must care for them, not displace and harm them.

How sad to see a government who would support the destruction of a way of life for many people and species. I come from British Columbia and have seen first hand the damage dam projects do.

Hey it is imperative that we protect the heritage of the people of this area. Because once you loose something of this magnitude you will have a hard time regaining any history of it afterward.
Message de Anne, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
When will people learn they have no right to take away from people? Disgusting.
Message de Nik, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011

Message de Michael, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
40,000 indigenous and local people will be forced off their native lands (as well as millions of unknown species & plants). This is unacceptable if it is true.
Message de Emily, Canada - 29/09/2011
Wish this was a joke!
Message de Melissa, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
Please abandon this project. This is land, culture, and whole species that will be lost forever if you continue with this plan. Please reconsider. It's not too late to change your mind.
Message de Brandon, Etats Unis (USA) - 28/09/2011
Please reconsider the damage this project will cause to the native people and wildlife in your beautiful country. Our rainforest is irreplaceable and nothing should be more important than protecting and preserving it.

Respect & peace~
Brandon

Force, Courage et Lumière.
Message de Erin, Canada - 28/09/2011
Green power is now our only option. Dams are not a green option. Think forward. Let your heart guide you, not your wallet.
Message de Jonathan, Etats Unis (USA) - 28/09/2011
Such growth-oriented solutions aren't really solving our problems. Bio-diversity and human rights should come first. Sustainable energy and efficiency measures can prevent the need for more power!
Message de wessel, Etats Unis (USA) - 28/09/2011
Please for the sake of the future of mankind and our environment dont do this.
