| Belo Monte will be bigger than the Panama Canal, flooding nearly a million acres of rainforest & indigenous lands. 40,000 indigenous and local people will be forced off their native lands (as well as millions of unknown species & plants) In the name of "progress" What kind of progress is this? When the environment is recognized as such a critical part of our ecosystem, why continue to destroy land, and ultimately ravage the planet. Respect for nature, for indigenous peoples, for lives is necessary. Stop the Belo Monte dam project now! |

Comment peut on imaginer un tel projet dans une époque ou l on a conscience de l impact que cela peut avoir tant sur le plan humain que sur l écologie .
