| Dislocating 40,000 indigenous people who have lived in this area for generations is unethical. Please reconsider. Not only are you displacing people who will never again be able to lead lives as they have for centuries, but you will also be destroying valuable flora and fauna. There are other ways to satisfy the energy needs of the cities. Please reconsider. |

| The dam's energy production won't be enough to remedy the 40,00 displaced indigenous individuals. |

Please don't displace these people and flood the forest. You are the guardians of our planetary heritage, and these cultures and the ecosystem that supports them are very valuable to all our futures. There are better and more renewable sources of energy being developed. Please consider these before you build this dam.
Very sincerely yours

| These people have no idea what irreversible damage they're doing to our atmosphere, nor what cures they're irrevocably destroying. Unconscionable, unscrupulous, unbelievable. This is OUR world, not some corporation's. |

To the point. How would you like it if someone came along and decided to built a mall or a corporate office at the location where you have lived all your life?
Please, leave the rainforest, habitat, & its native indians alone. Leave Brasil the way it is...BEATIFUL. |

‘Te toto o te tangata he kai, te oranga o te tangata he whenua’
‘Food is the blood of the people, but the welfare of the people lies in the land'
Our indigenous beliefs are that we belong to the land, its a source of life.
When IWI (tribes) live on land, it creates succession for the generations to follow,to do the same as those before. When the Brazilian president dies who will be there then? Its not progress, its a world tragedy waiting to happen, that will kill thousands of people now and in the future come. World hunger is already at its rim.. Do the right thing.. |

| This dam is wrong on so many levels from human rights to the fact it will destroy a very important ecosystem. Please take it from someone that lives in North America that taking away land from indigenous people isn't something you want on your conscious or to go down in your countries history. I would hope others would have learned from our mistakes in taking away the land from the Native American people of North America and how it's not only effected us a continent, primarily in my country the U.S.A, but how it's damaged an important and vital culture. Please do not do this to the people and to the rainforest. All the living things that live within it are very important to everyone in this world, not just Brazil. |

I'm only one person but hopefully this will help towards an EXTREMELY good cause. Why destroy such a beautiful thing that so many people depend on for others benefit. We shoud be changing our way of living to protect the environment, not destroy it.
"Whatungarongaro te tangata toi tu whenua" - As man disappears from sight, the land remains. We are here and then we leave but the land remains, we should look after her while we are alive because when we are buried she looks after us. |

| The time is now to start thinking about the repercussions of our actions and the future of our planet. How many times are we going to repeat the same mistakes over and over, how many times are we going to displace native cultures? How much destruction before we consider alternative solutions so we can live in harmony as peoples and with the glorious Mother Earth. Work together find another way. Do not build this dam! |
