| The Belo Monte Dam Project is a gross presentation of what the corporate world has become. To force people and animal life out of their environments, their lives, their homes; To destroy thousands of acres of rainforest in the name of "progress" is beyond revolting. What happened to integrity? When did we decide that "progress" was more important than life? Are we really so greedy? I stand with Chief Raoni in his fight against this great injustice. |

| If you must build the dam, please meet all of the needs of the people before your begin your project. That is the responsible thing to do that is equal, fair and just. If their needs cannot be met or you will destroy that which is most important to these people, FIGURE OUT A DIFFERENT SOLUTION, until you find one that is "win-win" for you and the people of that land. These indigenous peoples and their precious land and habitat are too valuable for the whole world to let them be destroyed. Greed for power is immersed in the western culture. Power literally and figuratively, at the expense of anyone in the way. We need to radically change and reduce our consumption, not increase and ravage more of the earth!! One love One world |
