Message de Leah, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
This land may be under Brazil's governance, but it is not yours to destroy, it is yours to protect. And it doesn't belong only to your government, but to it's people, to the children of the future, and to the earth. Do not be so blinded by arrogance and greed. Choose humanity over profit for once. Don't make such a stupid, short sighted mistake.
Message de Sweeney, France - 29/09/2011
Please do not destroy this land, have respect for mother nature and people alike

greed is not the answer

we all live on this planet and each are entitled to the preservation of the elements

destruction is loss
how can they do such acts to people who care for this planets welfare not just humans!
Message de Mimi, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
This is an atrocity! I give full support to request the permanent abandonment of the proposed Belo Monte hydroelectric dam project.
Message de Ungiedem, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
.....all in the name of "progress"? History is on the verge of repeating, here, in one of the most horrific fashions. Where is your common sense, and your value for human life? Because in case you've failed to realize, these are HUMAN LIVES you're considering destroying.
Message de Rebecca, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
This is INSANE STOP
DO NOT DO THIS
Message de Charles, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
There are other non-destructive ways to harness Nature's power!
We need to protect diversity and uniqueness, and respect Indigenous people.
Message de Natalie, Nouvelle-Zélande - 29/09/2011
Displacing that many people is not progress, regardless of the benefits.
We have one planet. Lets nots let this century be the one in which we destroy it.
Message de Kevin, France - 29/09/2011
Venga! QUE TENEMOS QUE PROTEGER LA NATURALEZA Y LA SELVA AMAZONIA Y LAS POPULACION INDIGENAS QUE SON EL PASADO Y EL FUTURO DE NUESTRA CIVILISACION HUMANA
Message de Jane, Nouvelle-Zélande - 29/09/2011
I SUPPORT CHEIF RAONI, AS DOES MOST OF THE WORLD. PLEASE LEAVE THE XINGU PEOPLE THEIR HOME AND STOP THE BEL MONTE HYDROELECTRIC DAM PROJECT.
Message de domenico, France - 29/09/2011
Même si je sais que la nature reprendra ses droits un jour ou l'autre, arrêtons de faire n'importe quoi au nom de la science et de l'argent
Message de Brenda, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
This is immoral and unjust to displace 40,000 plus indigenous peoples, plus destroy many species of animals and plant life. My question to those who wish to continue with the Damn project, how would you feel is someone did the same to you and your family. Please put yourself in their shoes and walk 100 miles in them to see what you're doing before you make a final decision.
Message de elise, Royaume-Uni - 29/09/2011
it's not too late to save what's left of our planet and populations living there... for once, ignoring eventual economical profit, towards human rights.
Message de Shawana, Canada - 29/09/2011
It is impermissible that the displacement of people and a complete disregard for human life and environment should be allowed to happen. "Progress" should be re-termed as devilish disregard for human rights and life in the name of the blinded interest only in money and imperialistic and capitalistic notions of success. The language of the colonizer has grown to such extend whereas complete disregard for human life is what seems to be, the wrongfully accepted norm. Our universal connectedness needs to be felt, as we are all one in the name of compassion and love.
Please listen to the Chief and his people, destroying rainforest and the land of 40,000 people is surely a thing of the past. Are we not an advanced enough society to think of a better way? Is this really the only option?
Message de Elizabeth, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
More life will be lost than created if this damn dam is constructed. Be a hero, say no and save lives!
Message de Bryan, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
F*** the dam, I will do all that I can to spread the word to stop this from happening!
Message de Ghislain, France - 29/09/2011
Sauvons la planète !
Message de Iris, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
As an indigenous person of North America, It breaks my heart and my belief in the goodness and compassionate heart of humanity to see Raoni and his people be wronged like this. Our people lost our battle with exploration and exploitation long ago, but I want to believe that consciousness is growing among humanity today and that we will not trespass on ourselves, our brothers and sisters repeatedly throughout history. This cause is not isolated, Indigenous, or Brazilian...our common UNIVERSAL HUMANITY is what is at stake here. What will it be that "seperates us from the animals"?
Message de matilde marlene, Brésil - 29/09/2011
We need to help the indians of Brazil to have the rights of the land that belongs to them since the appears of the colonizators in Brazil.
Message de carol, Colombie - 29/09/2011
its unfortunate to hear we still want to keep limiting ourselfs by killing trees an displacing people from their land to maintain corporations that only want to profit from our suffering if it was to create sawage systems for the community i will agreee but this is only stating that we dont respect our brhters and sisters and is heart breaking we wish the world would go around a different way into positivity. all we know is that the govrnment is not thinking about the people firtst and then these people working there are becoming headless individuals that do not compromise to do their jobs right! so why the heck we need a government when they will not listein to the people? i know for sure times are changing there will be a moment where corruption can no longer taike its toll and through our dreams we will be able to educate the masses that uncluding childrem man women the elderly of a history we can not forget and we need urgent actions becuase we all come from one weve made it complicated to live with eacother and we have to becuae we are forgetting that we are only sons and daugters is our descendants and its up to us to live and work to make our lives better!
Message de S, Inde - 29/09/2011
Please, let us not do this for once. I see it happening in my home state, Orissa, and cannot do anything about it yet. Please, stop it in Brazil if not here. We cannot survive without the lungs of the world
Development at d cost of our primitive tribes n races and their survival is unacceptable. If the people of South America hav survived and done well so far without d dam, they will too, in future.Dam not a necessity at all!!!
Message de Robert, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
There must be other options...the building of this damn for certain is not a viable choice for the people of this land nor the environment. Please don't become the next country that has forsaken the good of the environment and the planet for the security of the "quick dollar."
Message de Vanessa Jaine, Nouvelle-Zélande - 29/09/2011
Please do not proceed with this dam. Destroying nature and making thousands of people homeless is not progress, it is a step backwards. You have the chance to choose a better way, better for the environment and better for humanity. We are at a pivotal time in global history - which way do you want to be remembered.
Message de Leisa, Nouvelle-Zélande - 29/09/2011
My love and prayers are with Cheif Raoni and his people
