Message de Tom, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011

Message de Maia, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
It is essential that we preserve and protect our elders and the ancient tribes and cultures that have existed in harmony with the land, outside of the destruction that society and the human race has had on our planet. We must protect the land and it's people from the destruction at the hands of ultimate corporate greed. Please Stop destroying what is ever so precious to our world.
Message de Jamie, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
Please DO NOT BUILD THIS DAM. There are millions of obvious reasons why it is not a good idea. Thank you.
Message de Julie, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
It's not progress, it's destruction for money! Please stop this action from moving forward! I support Chief Raoni and the indigenous peoples of Xingu. Abandon the project immediately.
Message de Ester, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
I teach two courses on Environmental Science at the University of South Florida. Today we were just talking about the devastating effects of dams on the environmental and people's lives. When I came back to my office, I was socked to receive the news that the president of Brazil had approved the Belo Monte hydroelectric dam. This is terrible. One of the most pristine areas of our planet could be destroyed by it. I encourage the President to reconsider his decision and seek advise of those would have studied the effects of dams in the environment. Please don't let this happen to your country. Don't make the same mistakes that previous generations made in other areas of the planet that are now suffering the devastating effects of dam projects.

Best regards,

Ester Quintana, Ph.D.

Please abandon this proposal! This is an awful project that will wreck the lives of many indigenous people in Brazil and many others around the world.

Message de Taza, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
Leave the rainforest and its people alone!
Message de Inez, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
I know this has been approved and I still speak out against the Belo Monte project. The building of this dam and decimation of this forests will have far reaching consequences.. this will adversely affect the indigenous people of the forest, the wildlife and destroy a whole eco system.
Please consider looking into more eco friendly alternatives. This project is not the answer. We need to consider our children and our children's children. And all of the generations to come.
Message de cedric, France - 29/09/2011

In every nation where dams have been built, peoples, cultures, and ecosystems have suffered and died. Please don't continue this destruction in your own nation.

Message de Daryl Boehlig, Canada - 29/09/2011
When I heard what was going to take place, my heart was broke. I dream of one day visiting this rainforest to learn about the plants, animals, and people. How can you take this opportunity away from me, not to mention the people born on the land who need to survive there. Please save our planets forest, it is needed by the whole world, every inch of it.

Government of Brasil!

Please think before you act, you can't play god any more because Mother Earth is angry enough already!

How can you do this with your local people? Just take a moment and process it through your heart...

with love
Message de Isobel Donna, Nouvelle-Zélande - 29/09/2011
I am appalled at what is happening to your land and you and your people. The greed of course is nothing new but in this day and age I would have hoped that people would no longer be oppressed and forced off their land like cattle. I feel so very sad for you and will pray that this does not come to pass. I wish that the people rise up and speak their truth in numbers so great that those greedy people turn way in shame.
