Message de Philippe, France - 30/09/2011
Please let the peoples of Xingu live their lives in peace, and stop all action that promote the bad idea of Belo Monte Hydroelectric "dam" project.
Message de Rebecca, Etats Unis (USA) - 30/09/2011
It is disgusting to see this happening all over again. I work with people who have experienced this in the past-- the government deciding that their profit means more than the wellbeing, livelihood, and history of the people and environment. I will be sending this link on. I know it is a small gesture, but I hope the signatures build up!
Message de joi, Antilles néerlandaises - 30/09/2011
let them live their life the way their father father father father lived
Message de Anna Maria, Belgique - 30/09/2011
I support the indigenous population/people and the preservation of plants and animals in the area that will be affected, displaced, and robbed of their natural habitat and culture by the pursuit of the Belo Monte project.
For the sake of our children save the planet while we can...
Message de gael, France - 30/09/2011
STOP au MASSACRe des peuples et des forêts
Message de Iris, Etats Unis (USA) - 30/09/2011
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Message de Dylan, Canada - 30/09/2011
We have developed a sense of entitlement over this planet and our fellow citizens that makes a tragic and horrific proposal like this acceptable. It is not. We have precious forest left and little time. Please accept a reality that is of deeper importance and significance than the profit and wealth of a few when so many will be harmed by these reckless acts. PLEASE STOP.
Message de Ruhie, Australie - 30/09/2011
Please don't destroy the habitat of indigenous people, they are the core of ours society
Message de Alexandria, Australie - 30/09/2011
You will go down in history as one who helped kill this planet if you do not stop. we will not forget, Leave Raoni and his people alone.
Message de Rosie, Etats Unis (USA) - 30/09/2011
I am requesting the permanent abandonment of the proposed Belo Monte hydroelectric dam project. Leave nature alone, already!!
Message de Betty, Australie - 30/09/2011
Please do not let this happen. So many animals, plants and the native lands will be destroyed!
Message de Glynis, Etats Unis (USA) - 30/09/2011
STOP KILLING THE RAINFOREST AND TAKING AWAY NATIVE LAND. 95% OF OUR OXYGEN COMES FROM THE RAINFORESTS; IF YOU DO THIS WE WILL FRY!!!!!!!
Message de Jennifer, Etats Unis (USA) - 30/09/2011
This land and these people's homes need to be protected. It is and they are an integral part of what makes Brazil special with so much to teach the rest of the word. If you allow destruction of these cultures and ecosystems that purify your urban areas, you'll will be working against the very things that support the beauty and desirability of your country. This is a stronger asset than first world assets that have not achieved cultural balance and are consequently falling apart. Nourish the culture you have. Be as proud of them as the world is of Brazil.
Message de Warren, Canada - 30/09/2011
Stop the destruction of critical ecosystems that are important to all the people and animals on the planet.
Message de Anjanett, Etats Unis (USA) - 30/09/2011
All I can say is WOW, I feel so bad.
Message de Andrea, Etats Unis (USA) - 30/09/2011
Any government should honor The People and The Land.

Energy needs are an addiction that need to be overcome not indulged by continued destruction.
Message de judy, Canada - 30/09/2011
So very happy to hear about the suspension of work by Judge Carlos Castro Martins . Keep fighting and stay strong!!
Message de Paula, Etats Unis (USA) - 30/09/2011
The dam is not worth the destruction.
Message de David, Etats Unis (USA) - 30/09/2011
Signed and honored. We take care of our world
Message de susannah, Canada - 30/09/2011
Respect the lands of the Xingu people - they lived there long before anyone else, and thus have rights to the land. Respect international laws and respect their rights to remain in peace on their own land. Flooding of their land will result in extinction of their culture. Please please have foresight and find alternative energy sources such as solar and conservation. Thank you
Message de Rebecca, Etats Unis (USA) - 30/09/2011
I am thrilled that this has been temporarily forestalled, but I hope and pray there will be a permanent ban on the dam...and instead, that the rights of the river, the animals, the plants, and the indigenous people will prevail.
Message de Cori, Canada - 30/09/2011
Please leave these people in peace- do not damage their lives and land with a hydroelectric dam.
