We all know that electricity is not necessary for survival and can not be respected as beings of life. However, any project must not be more important than a million acres of rainforest & indigenous lands. It sounds incredible that anyone should approve the destruction of many valuable natural beauty.

I align with the indigenous people and Mother Earth and everyone else against evil such as Belo Monte is evil which brings about the destruction of our planet and us even faster than it's already occurring. It WILL be stopped.

Please stop this horrible plan! It is unacceptable to displace the indigenous people of this area AND destroy this LAND! Learn from the USA! Hydroelectric power can seriously damage the climate and hydroelectric dams produce significant amounts of carbon dioxide and methane, in some cases produce more of these greenhouse gases than power plants running on fossil fuels.

Constant deforestation such as the Del Monte project are reasons why our planet is in such awful shape. No man should have the right to push community off their homeland. Shame on the President of Brazil and my best thoughts go out to the victims of this injustice.

stop this modern genocide! when will enough be enough for corporations who seem to be governed by flesh eating zombies?

Please consider another alternative to the Belo Monte hydroelectric dam project as its consequences might outweigh its advantages in the realm of human rights and cultural preservation.
Message de Nathan, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011

Stop destroying rainforests with dam projects! This keeps happening in the name of "progress," but in the end, it always comes at the expense of the planet's well being and of ethnic minorities who have called places like Xingu home for centuries.
Message de Gonzalez, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011

This act is inhumane. It harms species, habitats, and indigenous people. We must preserve such lands and stop the construction of this dam! Enough lands, animals, and people have been stripped by Governments who do so for greedy purposes. Do not allow this to happen! Thank you.

Please do everything you can to protect the Amazon forest from destruction and deforestation.

I support the indigenous population/people and the preservation of plants and animals in the area that will be affected, displaced, and robbed of their natural habitat and culture by the pursuit of the Belo Monte project. We must keep what little indigenous cultures that are left in this world, undisturbed and forced away from their land as possible to preserve history.
Message de Judith, Nouvelle-Zélande - 29/09/2011

Our natural world, not science, is what provides us with the resources we need to survive. Preserve. And respect those who have lived off the land for thousands of years before us. Just because we have guns does not give us the right to do whatever we want.
Message de Joseph, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011

This dam would cause the loss of millions of unknown species of plants and animals, some could be the cure to cancer or other medical problems. This dam would also cause the 40,000 people to lose their homes. I don't think the president would like it if we flooded his house.
Message de Heather, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
---
The Amazon rainforest has been ravaged long enough. The indigenous people have been violated and exploited long enough. We cannot allow these lands, precious and vital to the world, to be destroyed in the name of big business and corporate greed. A global quality of life will suffer along with the devastation of native lands and 1000s of unknown species.
Message de Ashley, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011

This must stop! Think about what is right and wrong, beyond all of the politics and money involved. You must do what is right!

My prayer is for the people of the world to embrace the Wisdom of the indigenous People and learn their ways so we can all create the Eden Paradise our World is to Be.
