| We all know that electricity is not necessary for survival and can not be respected as beings of life. However, any project must not be more important than a million acres of rainforest & indigenous lands. It sounds incredible that anyone should approve the destruction of many valuable natural beauty. |

| Please stop this horrible plan! It is unacceptable to displace the indigenous people of this area AND destroy this LAND! Learn from the USA! Hydroelectric power can seriously damage the climate and hydroelectric dams produce significant amounts of carbon dioxide and methane, in some cases produce more of these greenhouse gases than power plants running on fossil fuels. |

| This dam would cause the loss of millions of unknown species of plants and animals, some could be the cure to cancer or other medical problems. This dam would also cause the 40,000 people to lose their homes. I don't think the president would like it if we flooded his house. |
| The Amazon rainforest has been ravaged long enough. The indigenous people have been violated and exploited long enough. We cannot allow these lands, precious and vital to the world, to be destroyed in the name of big business and corporate greed. A global quality of life will suffer along with the devastation of native lands and 1000s of unknown species. |
