Message de ALisa, Etats Unis (USA) - 28/09/2011
I ask you to turn to other measures for energy such as solar and abandon the dam project because it would destroy a way of life for the peoples of Xingu. Not only that, it will harm life for the rest of us as the Amazonian rainforests are key to the health and wellbeing of all life on our planet. This is unwise and I demand that you reconsider. I stand behind Chief Raoni and his people.
Message de Thomas, Etats Unis (USA) - 28/09/2011
If there is not a reversal of this decision, I will do EVERYTHING in my power to dissuade tourism in Brazil. I will also cancel my plans to attend the 2014 World Cup. I appeal to your humanity. Do not follow the Chinese in the destruction of culture and nature in the name of "progress"

I support your cause.

THE MAN IS MORE CONCERN WITH HIS CONFORT THAN WITH THE OTHERS. THE ROMANCE IS DEAD, AND NO LONGER I WILL CONSIDER MAN AS AN ANIMAL. MAN BECAME THE DEVIL. HE WAS BORN TO DESTROY. PLEASE STOP THE KILLING, SAVE THE NATURE, SAVE THE OTHERS!
Message de Daphne, Etats Unis (USA) - 28/09/2011
This is not just the land of the people, but the land of the world. We all count of this land to sustain life as we know it. From the medicines we need, to the food we eat, and the very air we breath count on this land to make this possible. The building of this dam would be a holocaust and a tragedy beyond measure nor repair.

My heart cries, my soul is full of sorrow that this is happening.
Message de Débora, Brésil - 28/09/2011

Message de L, Etats Unis (USA) - 28/09/2011
The destruction/alteration of the Amazon affects much more than the indigenous population, it affects the world, it's people, animals, and the countless species and system that work together to sustain life on this planet. It must be protected.

Many thanks to those who are working to help save our planet and the way of life for indigenous people who fully deserve to have priority over corporations and energy consumers.

The ecosystems of the Amazon is vital to life on this earth. It is self renewing and self sustaining. It is our last bastion of health and hope of our planet.

We are all connected. We can not as a species continue to consume and destroy our environment. We must replenish and sustain. We must look to renewable sources of energy as needed even if the cost is greater. We can not let corporations continue to destroy our planet for short term profits and gain to a finite number of individuals. We must look to and protect our collective future and the future of those yet to come.
Please stop the Belo Monte project.

Sincerely, L DiCarlo

Message de Kimberly, Etats Unis (USA) - 28/09/2011
I have not done enough research to fully understand why Brazil needs the third largest hydroelectric plant but they couldn't need it as bad as the people need to stay in their place and the animals need to live. Were there scientist that studied the impact of what they are doing in Brazil and how the trickle down effect will effect the rest of the world?
This is not who we are. Do not do this. It is not worth it.
Message de Stephanie, Canada - 28/09/2011
Please reconsider. Not only will you be destroying what little rainforest lands we have left, but you will be destroying the lives of a people. That is far too much to lose for a canal, and some power.
