Please encourage people to save energy (turn off lights, use better light bulbs, recycle...) rather than destroy communities who have no intrest the pointless pursuit of material progess.
Message de Barney, Australie - 01/10/2011
We are behind you 100% never let the western machins bring you down as you have Gaia on your side.
Message de Leo, Australie - 01/10/2011
If the Amazon and Rainforests are the lungs of the Earth. Then we must do everything in our power to protect them from the progresive cancer of greed and development.
Message de nathalie, France - 01/10/2011

Message de RENAE, Australie - 01/10/2011
This simply should not happen.
It would be a world tragedy.
Message de Emma, Australie - 01/10/2011
I am distressed and utterly disappointed to hear of the Brazilian governments decision. Mother Earth and it's people are in dire need of help.
Message de Sheryl, Etats Unis (USA) - 01/10/2011
The indigenous people of Xingu have a right to exist. Their entire history and culture are inseparable from their land. If others in the cities need electricity, they can find it in other ways using their own lands, solar, wind, and wave power. Smaller projects can be built elsewhere. It is a crime against humanity to take away the lands of an entire people when their culture is based upon the flora and fauna of those lands. All people in the world should stand up to protect these people and to recognize that others should not lose their entire culture just because we want convenience of electricity from a single source. Please stop the dam!

Please FOREVER STOP plans for the Belo Monte hydroelectric dam project. Nothing can truly be gained from selfishness and greed. As a world, we must start caring about everybody and their needs - not just a select few. I support Chief Raoni and the indigenous peoples of Xingu.
Message de robin, Etats Unis (USA) - 01/10/2011
In support of those who are fighting for their rights to culture, traditions and freedom, in a world miserably governed by a disgusting monetary system.
Message de Brennan, Canada - 01/10/2011
No dam. Stand up for nature, bow down to allow the filthy rich to suck your filthy ...
Message de Emily, Canada - 01/10/2011
There is no possible excuse for the destruction and trauma that this dam would cause. The rainforests that exist now are precious to everyone, not just Brazilians, and must be preserved at all costs. Electricity can be produced another way that does not displace residents, kill animals and destroy ecosystems that are vital for the survival of the planet.
Message de Emma, Australie - 01/10/2011
Please think before taking away the ancestral homes of the peoples of the Xingu.
Please think of the effect it will not only have upon the indigenous people of the land, but the effect it will have upon the entire world.
Please think.
Message de L.W., Etats Unis (USA) - 01/10/2011
People before power!
Message de Renata, Australie - 01/10/2011
Espero que isto ajude a parar este vergonhoso projeto.... Boa sorte!
Message de Cat, Etats Unis (USA) - 01/10/2011
Stop the madness for money!
Message de Erremina, Australie - 01/10/2011
Please abandon this project that will ruin the livelihood of these amazing indigenous people for this life time and many more.
Money cannot speak in any case when it comes to the lives of these people who are custodians of the land.
Thanks
Emmie
Message de Trixia, Philippines - 01/10/2011
Save the forest and the land of the indigenous people. To hell with progress...
Message de Leah, Canada - 01/10/2011
There are other options for generating electricity! So many People and culture, animals and land do not need to be destroyed!
Message de Lynley, Nouvelle-Zélande - 01/10/2011
Chief, I have the utmost respect for you and your people and all animals of the rainforest. We are shocked and appalled and our hearts and support are with you.
Message de ingrid, Australie - 01/10/2011
I am appalled to think the governments of greed would do this to the indigenous tribes, their homes and to all civilization on a global front. When will the governments realise that when you remove every resource mother nature has blessed to us to be used in balance and not for money, there will be nothing left at all for no species on this planet will be here to exist, to survive and to thrive. Bless Chief Raoni, my thoughts and love are with him and his people in these disturbing and awakening times.
Message de Jessica, Etats Unis (USA) - 01/10/2011

Get with the times. This is a potential environmental and social disastor. Don't let it happen!
Message de patricia, Australie - 01/10/2011
this is an outrage, we are here to lend our voices in protest. we all need the rainforest as much as these people need it to survive. stop this now.
Message de Amanda, Etats Unis (USA) - 01/10/2011
Don't destroy these people's homes and don't kill our earth. We only have one. How would you feel if someone forced you from your home and everything you hbe ever known? Not fair! We need to take care of our fellow human brothers and sisters.
