| The rainforest and the people who call it home have been there before living memory, the rainforest is one of the most important natural habitats of our planet...there is no sense or logic in the destruction of the rainforest to conserve future energy resources...if the planet starts slowly sufforcating because you have destroyed a vital oxygen supply....you would have to be either ignorant or retarded because if it was not for trees we could not breath. |

| To whom this may concern: Please use common sense here, not greed and need for this type of inefficient power. Ask yourselves...what would you do if your land were destroyed? How would you feel? In a way, you are doing just that. As well as you are destroying the last vestiges of innocence on our planet by building these dams. The fact that you seem to not even care makes you and your power structure very dangerous.. It is common sense that if you dam a river as huge as the Amazon, a slow moving river at that...hence the inefficiency of these dams, you are changing the course of the world and the air we breath and the oceans that give us life, for ever. You are not only killing these peoples, you are killing yourselves and all of those around the world. You have viable other alternatives here for energy sources...be a true leader in Brasil, not in building your egos through building the largest dam system in the world.. but thru developing an integrated system of ecologically sustainable renewal energy sources that embrace all the generations to come, of all peoples of the world including these indigenous peoples and yourselves. If you do not, you will be creating a hell here on Earth that is like none we have ever seen. You will be catapulting our beautiful blue planet into the pits of despare and be at the root of killing millions,including perhaps, your own children. There will be no escaping this one. Or dont you care.? If you dont then you truly are consumed by greed and power..and that makes you very dangerous and very evil the dark ones indeed. |
