Message de Holly, Canada - 01/10/2011
There are better ways of creating electricity and alternative energy without displacing hundreds of thousands of people and destroying the environment.
Message de Jes, Australie - 01/10/2011
Preservation is the key. Progress shouldn't equal greed.
Message de Leslie, Etats Unis (USA) - 01/10/2011
It is a sin against the entire planet to wipe out untold numbers of undiscovered species of life. It is a sin against the planet also, to destroy yet more of her largest rainforest. And bear in mind what happened to the indigenous people of Easter Island. Best to LEAVE these people, their livelihoods, the land and all the life, in peace.
Message de Joanne, Australie - 01/10/2011
This is a violation of human rights, a violation of natural laws and a violation of all I believe in. Not only does it break my heart but it distresses me to think that any person, government or country has the power and lack of conscious awareness to make such a decision. What a sad day for our world.
Message de Rev. Nathaniel, Etats Unis (USA) - 01/10/2011
May the Gods bless and protect you,
Message de Pia, Etats Unis (USA) - 01/10/2011
Please, your going to kill the planet with a move like this. Can you not see that this effects every creature in our world? I beg you to stop this project.
Message de kathlene gayle, Canada - 01/10/2011
It is a great opportunity to help indigenous peoples and their struggle to keep big business off their land. We people of Turtle Island must give them a hand up.
Message de Jackie, Royaume-Uni - 01/10/2011
the proposed project is sacrilege to the people, the land and all creatures who dwell there. And all in the name of greed!
Message de Stephanie, Allemagne - 01/10/2011
I do support Chief Raoni and the peoples of Xingu. It is time the rights of indigneous peoples are actually respected and we don't just always claim to do so but abandon them the moment their rights are in the way of economic interests.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Schneider
Message de Bradley, Etats Unis (USA) - 01/10/2011
I'm half Native American & I know personally what has been lost to my people in the name of "progress".
This dam project will literally wipe out not just a people, a culture thousands of years old, but a part of a very rapidly shrinking area teaming with wildlife, with probably still yet undiscovered species will be lost. This can & will lead to more & more projects that will eventually wipe out every square inch of the Amazon & the Native peoples that have lived there for thousands of years that are supposed to be seen by many governments, including the Brazilian Government, as " a vital & important part of the culture that is Brazil."
Do not let this happen as this will destroy a part of Brazil's own National identity.
Message de Dakotah, Etats Unis (USA) - 01/10/2011
Please please no dam. This dam reprents irreparable and irreversible damage to this earth, it's inhabitants both animal and human. I live thousands of miles away but as an inhabitant of this planet it pains me a great deal to know that we can so callously decide to destroy wide spreads of the environment. Have we learned nothing from such shortsighted human follies in the past? Preserve the earth and all her gifts.
Message de Jon, Canada - 01/10/2011
Please guard the rain forest for future generations.
Message de Loise, Canada - 01/10/2011
we have to protect the rainforest and it's people, they are the lungs of this planet!
Message de Doug, Canada - 01/10/2011
What's to say?
Do unto others as ye would have done unto thine self.
Think about it for an unselfish moment.
Thank-you.
Message de Roy, Canada - 01/10/2011
