My heart and soul is with you.
Thank you for figthing for the forest nation, Mama Earth and embodying her voice.
Message de Maria, Etats Unis (USA) - 02/10/2011
Please protect and take care of Mother Earth! We're all in this together. We need to rainforest intact.
Message de Marie, Etats Unis (USA) - 02/10/2011
I feel the pain Chief Raoni is feeling. It's never okay to destroy the lives of thousands of people for the benefit of few.
Message de Caterina, Australie - 02/10/2011
Pls help Raoni and all people's and all living animals and plants live their lives in harmony with each other. I'm not in agreement with the way of the progressive life from living with machines anyway! We have no right to impose the way we live on others who live differently. How will the human evolution really progress if we destroy the most humblest and noble of our kind. Destroying their way of life is destroying ourselves. I pray for all life to be free and happy.
Message de Sabajo, Pays-Bas - 02/10/2011
I support you Chief Raoni!!

“Fortunate, indeed, is the man who takes exactly the right measure of himself and holds a just balance between what he can acquire and what he can use.” Peter Latham.

We need to show more respect to Nature, to the ecosystem, to the cultural diversity, to human kind... We have enough proof of the damage we have done in the past, when putting economic interests over Respect of a natural balance in the World.

Please do something to stop this!!!!!!!!!
Message de Ruth, Canada - 02/10/2011
As global citizens we need to ensure that we are planning for the longterm good of the people and not for short term economic gain for large corporations and their already rich Boards of Directors and CEOs. Once the natural world is destroyed it is gone. As George Burns said in the movie 'Oh God' - "Have you ever tried to make a fish from scratch?" - we can't.
Message de Juli, Etats Unis (USA) - 02/10/2011
Please do not go on with the hydro project. The indigenous people and the rainforest are so important to us.
Message de Helen A, Etats Unis (USA) - 02/10/2011
The Dam will destroy so many properties and livelihood of the
people. This has been the experiences of people all over the world. We must learn from previous experiences and never forget it.
Message de reveka, Etats Unis (USA) - 02/10/2011
The world is one country and mankind its citizens.
Message de veasna, Etats Unis (USA) - 02/10/2011
Please stop this genocide. I call this a genocide because this is murder of a civilization: uprooting people from home, eradicating their livelihood, and robbing them of sovereignty.
Message de martha, Uruguay - 02/10/2011
Por favor,no sigamos destruyendo el planeta y desplazando poblaciones hacia la miseria!
gracias
Message de Tam, Etats Unis (USA) - 02/10/2011
Please abandon the Belo Monte Dam project. These people deserve to live in peace!
Message de Emily, Etats Unis (USA) - 02/10/2011
This dam would be an unthinkable tragedy for the people of this land and the incredible number of undiscovered and/or endangered species. I beg you to reconsider.
Message de Alexandra Catalina, Allemagne - 02/10/2011
The least I can do to help. If there is any other way to support this cause or other heritage preservation ones, please let me know.

Us humans, we are all essentialy kind, let.s make that our main religion and act upon it and regard each other as we teach our children in kindergarten that they should.
Message de Kath, Royaume-Uni - 02/10/2011
Uphold the democratic rights of the indigenous peoples.Respect their ancestral homelands and way of life!!
Respect their rights. Look not at the cost-benefit in the next 10-20 years. Look at the cost-benefit 50 years from now. Remember, we do not inherit the earth from our forefathers, we borrow it from our children.
Message de Joey, Etats Unis (USA) - 01/10/2011
No matter what "benefits" or whatever they think can come from this dam, it is inhumane and downright retarded. Displacing people should never happen. EVER! I hope this project can be stopped before anything bad happens to these people. Best wishes!
Message de Brittany, Etats Unis (USA) - 01/10/2011
Preserve this land for the people!!!
Even just the idea of this dam breaks my heart and makes me sick to my stomach. All in the name of Progress? Sure, if your aim is to speed up the progress of destroying our planet and ruining lives of not only the indigenous people living on this land, but the animals and plants and wonders the rain forest has to offer. For shame.
Message de William, Etats Unis (USA) - 01/10/2011
Please stop the idea of this horrible dam!!
Message de Jessica, Etats Unis (USA) - 01/10/2011
Stop the Belo Monte dam. the rainforest is a precious resource and future impacts to the region will outweigh any "progress"
Message de Rebecca, Canada - 01/10/2011
What a tragedy for Brazil and Mother Earth! If a person starts shaking their fists and says things that does not want to be heard, they are deemed insane. If a person forsakes his people, floods great forests, and destroys lives and vital ecosystems, they are made our leaders. The world is backwards.
Message de Loren, Etats Unis (USA) - 01/10/2011
As an indigenous person who lost much of our lands and way of life due to government imposed flooding I stand in solidarity and fully support Chief Raoni and the indigenous peoples of Xingu.
