Message de Sean, Nouvelle-Zélande - 29/09/2011
I believe that the land should be left how it is. The dam will not only ruin the land however also destroy culture and heritage. Thank you for your time.
Message de Mela, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
Please use your heart, respect the earth and the people and you will see immense abundance.
Message de Marijana, Australie - 29/09/2011
It is outrageous that this is being done to the lungs of the world. Have we humans not done enough tor environment, and leave the mess to future generations to clean up? Im not a hippie, and I dont think one has to be these days to see how damaged our environment is. The Amazon is important to its natives and should be to us all, as we all benefit from this gift. We need to respect indigenous people who live there. We need to respect the species that live there too. We need to respect the uniquie ecosystem of Amazon, as big precent of our air depends on it. These people, animals, plants, they are unique and essential to this planet more than belo monte. The project breaches so many rules on explicit and implicit level. It is ethically wrong, and just because a lot of wrong things are being done lately, doesnt mean the men in charge needs to follow this suit with only financial gains in mind. I sincereally hope that a person of greater political power than a regular person will take a stand agains this, and make everyones voice heard. Because, some future generations will pay he price, and those on top wont be spared either.

When the power of love overcomes the love of power, only then will there be peace. Find another way...there's always another way.
Message de Aydee, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
Please reconsider the Belo Monte damming project! There are other alternatives to dams. Consider wind power, solar, OTEC, or natural gas. If we lose this land we loose the peoples culture, plants, and animals that occupy this replaceable valley while the life of a hydro dam is no more then 50-100 years. It's not worth it! Please don't do it! STOP!

With Aloha,
Aydee Zielke

BRASIL! FIND YOUR TOOLS TO SUSTAINABLE BENEFIT FROM THE AMAZON INSTEAD OF DESTROYING YOUR UNIQUE TREASURE!
NO DAM CAN WEIGH AGAINST THE LOSS OF THE (ANCIENT) KNOWLEDGE 40.000 PEOPLE HAVE, NATURE, WILDLIFE AND YET UNKNOWN SPECIES.
Message de Yakir, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
Stop it at all cost!!!
Message de Natasha, Nouvelle-Zélande - 29/09/2011
Our world is suffering because of the decisions being made like this one. Do not take this one precious price of history away from the people that have preserved it. It is their homes, their lives. Taking this is murder. Have some heart and leave it be. There are plenty of other ways to get what you want.
Message de Laura, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
Human, plant and animal life are so much more valuable than any canal. Preserve nature and the resources you will never be able to restore for generations spanning centuries.
