Save the rainforest!
Message de Marissa, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
Everything about this is illegal, or absolutely should be. I can't walk into my neighbors house and kick their entire family out so I can destroy the property and build some profitable business on it. So neither should these big corporate jerks. What gives them that right? Money and power? This is absurd, these corporate business's are destroying the earth and the lives of the middle class and lower class population. We don't even have a say anymore because these companies are too powerful. They need to be severely regulated on an international and governmental level and the majority of their power needs to be taken away!! Also, shame on Brazil's president for being just as corrupt, by allowing himself to be influenced by the money and power of this mega-corporation. Shame on him and his whole damned family! Shame on everyone that works for him! Shame! Please save these beautiful people and their habitat, don't let what happened to the American Indians happen to the indigenous people of Xingu. Stop this madness and leave them alone!!
Message de Maria, Suède - 29/09/2011
Please do not proceed with your dam. It is a great sorrow that the money you are about to earn due to the building of the dam cannot be more important than the lives of countless spieces! There are no other arguments apart from the fact that it is not right.
Message de Valdrin, Albanie - 29/09/2011
I hope the building of the DAM stops
Message de Yan, Pays-Bas - 29/09/2011
The cruelty and short term vision of the people that are responsible for this action are nothing short of insanity. Open your eyes and wake up!
Abandon this project for the sake of the planet and the indigenous people of the region.
Message de Marlene, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
Please do not allow this dam to go through. The devastation to the indigenous peoples and to the land will be of catastrophic proportions! Please, in the name of all that is sacred in our world, put an end to the construction of this dam. Thank you.
Peace, Marlene Azoulai

We try worldwide to prevent the rainforest from distruction. How can they decide to put 1000 acres of rainforest under water?
Message de Krisztina, Belgique - 29/09/2011
It's a disgrace... Money above all??? How about alternative energy and leaving nature and the people who live there in peace? Think of your children and their children and what air they will breathe in, what nature they will see? We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children!
Message de Mabruka, Bangladesh - 29/09/2011
In the name of progress let's not destroy our tomorrow ...
Message de Jessica, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
After all that has happened to the Native Americans in North America, you would think we, as a world, would have learned our lesson. This is sad and totally ridiculous. This should be stopped immediately. This is their home and we should not be pushing them out. That is inhumane.
Message de yvan, France - 29/09/2011
Peace for the RAONI...
Message de Jonathan, Royaume-Uni - 29/09/2011
We are all hearing on how we are causing global warming and that by destroying the rain forest we are making this worse. Why do you need to build this kind of electricity generator? Why not using some of the green providers, or even nuclear, something that has become much safer to use over the years and (although I don't agree with it myself) at least its something you corporate people enjoy the idea of as its a big money earner for one and all.

To be frank Mr Corporate, whatever you do in this situation, you are a shame on the human race, really, someone who doesn't care for anything other than himself and his own, not a whit about the things around him that actually matter but to which he is blind to see.
Message de james, Royaume-Uni - 29/09/2011
not right. must be stopped
Message de Monica, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011
This is absolutely ridiculous!! How would you like your home and land taken away from you for some project where people completely disregard your livelihood?? Stop this mess please!
Message de Natalia, Etats Unis (USA) - 29/09/2011

If we do not stop this kind of act right now, we will not have a good future for our children. STOP YOUR GREED!!!
Message de Ayse, Turquie - 29/09/2011
My country's government does not respect forest lands and a life one with nature. I hope Brazil's government can find it in their hearts to do so.

I also belong to an Idigenous People Community called the Igorots in the Philippines. We are facing the same struggles. Capitalism is displacing our ancestral domain by large scale mining, dams, geothermal plants, and etc. Many communities are suffering from the dams that they built here in the Northern Philippines. IPs were displaced and still there are many capitalists who take advantage of us, mainly our culture and our ancestral domain.
I feel for the Surui tribe. I pray for you... and will join any cause so that your ancestral domain will remain at your hands...
-all the love from a Kankana-ey- Igorot of the Cordilleras in Northern, Philippines.
Message de Maxime, Royaume-Uni - 29/09/2011
