| It makes me sick to see that the Brazilian Govt can approve of this...Why is it so hard to learn from our past? We should all be ashamed at our lack of respect for indigenous cultures and ultimately ourselves. |
| Negatives far outweight the positives, aside from the human impact, the impact on the environment and ecosystem will be massive. Brazil gets a lot of sun, invest the money that would be spent on the dam into solar electricity alternatives. The dam is not needed. |

Please reconsider your actions and look for more sustainable resources to provide energy. As a citizen of the United States I feel that we have made many mistakes and cannot change that.
