The dam will destroy the rainforest and kill the indigenous people! There is more and more distruction of the earth! The dam is a big crime against nature, the indigenous people and all people on this earth!

This is extremely urgent. I don't know if everyone - worldwide - realizes just how essential Amazonia is to the rest of the planet. People need to realize that this ecosystem can not be lost. Indeed, if Amazonia goes, we would be soon to follow, as a species. All people need to realize that it's no longer about saving a few animals here & there, all though all efforts to save are good. Now the proportions are just so monstrous. It's about saving the entire planet. We're all interdependant and interconnected and we all risk losing everything. Does everyone realize that Amazonia is home to half of the world's species, who will die without their habitat? Does everyone here realize then that saving animals is also about saving vital habitats? If Amazonia goes, they all go, too. We need all the voices we can find worldwide to stop this crime against Mother Earth immediately. i hope to help with a protest in San Francisco California at the Brazilian Embassy in September.

Je trouve inadmissible avec tout ce qui se passe de nous jour que l'espèce humaine continue à détruire son habitat naturel à des fins de profit personnel. Ce qui est le plus révoltant c'est que bien souvent les principaux acteurs de ces destructions ne se sentent pas concernés par cela mais j'aimerais bien savoir quel serait leur choix s'ils s'agissait du leur, de leur famille, de leurs vie, leur rites, leurs habitudes... je suis scandaliée par l'égoisme de l'être humain, son désintéressement fasse à une civilisation, un écosystème, tout un équilibre qui ne contribue pas seulement à un équilibre continental mais mondial et ça tout le monde à tendance à l'oublier! Pensez aussi à ce que vous laisserez à vos enfants, quelle vie, quelle planète... des attitudes que je ne pourrai jamais comprendre

Now is your opportunity to say that the rights of the people are above all other things. We have a chance to preserve and honor a culture instead of destroying it. Please, do not relegate these people to be left only in books and museum displays. Allow them to survive, intact, with their lives, their lands and the ability to make their own decisions regarding same.
